Photo Guide

The best way to help us help you with your enquiry is with good photos. Your photos, along with your written description, need to clearly tell the story of each piece in an unambiguous manner.

When sending photos, please include:

  • An overall photo of the entire piece
  • A photo of the front, back and side of the object(s)
  • A photo of the entire damaged area(s)
  • A close-up photo of the damaged area(s)

General points to keep in mind:

  • Ensure the piece is well lit, preferably with natural light, before you take the photo
  • Hold measuring tape or place a ruler on damaged areas to provide perspective on its size
  • Take photos front and back if damage has passed through an object
  • Provide photos of manufacturer marks, product numbers, branding, etc if available or visible
  • More photos are better than less provided you’ve observed the above
